UPDATE: Bullard PD release names of injured van occupants; truck driver in fatality wreck

UPDATE: Bullard Police Department released the names of the passengers of the minivan and garbage truck driver involved in a fatal crash Monday evening.

Melissa Wilburn of Vidor, Texas was the driver of the minivan and Mary Edwards of Douglass, Texas was the front passenger. Both Wilburn and Edwards were transported to ETMC. Officials tell CBS 19 that Wilburn is in good condition and Edwards is in ICU in serious condition.

The deceased woman's name has not been released.

The driver of the garbage truck has been identified as John Lindsey of Bullard. Lindsey was also transported to ETMC.

 

 


 

BULLARD (KYTX) - Bullard police say one woman has died and three others were injured in a wreck on Highway 69 and County Road 3801.  

Police say a garbage truck and a minivan collided. The driver of the garbage truck plus the driver and two passengers in the minivan were all transported to ETMC. Two people were taken there by helicopter, and two by ambulance. 

Officer Stuart Alexander of the Bullard PD said officials will release the name of the deceased as soon as family members are notified.

The highway was re-opened by 6 p.m.
