Charitable Tyler woman, now owner of brand new Fiat

Posted: Updated:

TYLER (KYTX) - A charitable Tyler woman gets big reward for helping those in need!

"I never would have given to win a car but I feel so blessed," says Beverly Collins, who won a brand new Fiat Saturday.

She has donated money to the United Way and helped with it's programs for years. This year, as she donated, she entered a raffle, and won a new car from Randall Noe Fiat in Tyler.

Collins was a TISD principal for decades, and has seen how much united way programs help the East Texas community.

"I donate to the united way because they support so many organizations I've been a part of through the years. I really believe without non profit organizations like United Way, many people in Tyler would not be served," she said.

Collins got to pick out the Fiat Pop of her choice. She says it's the first brand new car she's ever had!

United Way staff members tell CBS 19 no one deserved to win the car more than Collins.
