UPDATE: MOUNT PLEASANT (KYTX) - According to Titus County District Attorney, Rickey Alton Wright was indicted by a Titus County Grand Jury for Theft over $200,000 Tuesday morning.

The original warrant was for theft under $200,000 but the investigation has increased the value to over $200,000.

(KYTX) - Mount Pleasant Police Department is investigating a theft from Pilgrim's Pride Corporation located at 1107 Monticello Road.

Plant management reported a series of thefts that lead detectives to a suspect later identified as Rickey Alton Wright, a maintenance employee at the facility. Approximately $40,000 of property has been located and recovered by police.

Plant management and other entities are working with detectives in recovering other items that may have been sold by the suspect. So far, more than $225,000 of stolen property has been linked directly to the suspect. Evidence shows the suspect was selling the items.

"This is an ongoing criminal investigation with many leads still being followed up on. Several companies are working with our agency helping us track where all the stolen items went. From the onset of this case the deeper detectives look into the thefts the more evidence they find. The suspect has been stealing from the company for some time but has left us a good trail to follow," Chief Wayne Isbell said.

A warrant was issued for Rickey Wright for Theft of Property valued between $100,000 and $200,000, a second-degree felony. He turned himself into the Titus County Sheriff's Office Jail Dec. 11 and is currently in custody with bail set at $500,000.
