AUSTIN, Texas (KHOU) -- Part of an Austin mall was evacuated and locked down early Tuesday afternoon after police said there were reports of a man with a gun.

According to KVUE.com, the man was reportedly seen near the Nordstrom store inside Barton Springs Mall.

The Austin Police Department quickly responded and searched over the mall but never found any threats. They gave the all-clear via their Twitter page around 12:35 p.m.

The Austin Independent School Distrcit said nearby schools were never placed on lock down.
