City of Tyler:
 
Holiday Closing
City offices will observe the following holiday schedule on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year holidays, according to a news release from the city.


Holiday Garbage Collection

The Tyler Solid Waste office and the Tyler Recycling Center will be closed on Tuesday and Jan. 1.

The collection schedule is as follows:


Christmas Week

 
Monday: Regular collection

Tuesday: No collection

Dec. 26: Routes normally collected on Tuesday and normal collection for recycling

Dec. 27: Regular collection

Dec. 28: Regular collection


New Year's Week

Dec. 31: Regular collection

Jan. 1: No collection

Jan. 2: Routes normally collected on Tuesday and normal collection for recycling

Jan. 3: Regular collection

Jan. 4: Regular collection

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport will operate a normal schedule on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1. The administrative offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.

Customers should contact their airline or check the airport website at www.TylerAirport.com for special holiday travel schedules.

Tyler Public Library

The Tyler Public Library will be closed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The Library will resume normal hours on Dec. 26. The library also will be closed on Jan. 1. Normal hours will resume on Jan. 2.


Tyler Transit Schedule

There will be no fixed-route or paratransit service on Monday or Tuesday. Service will resume on Dec. 26.

The Cotton Belt Train Museum will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.


Municipal Court

The Municipal Court will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year holidays.


Gallery Main Street

Gallery Main Street will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.


Tyler Parks and Recreation

The Tyler Parks and Recreation administrative offices and the Senior Citizens Center will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.

The Glass Recreation Center will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1.

The Goodman Museum will be closed on Saturday-Tuesday and Jan. 1.


Tyler Water Utilities

The TWU Business Office will be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Jan. 1. The Water Business Office drive-through will close at 5 p.m. on Friday. Anyone wishing to make a payment can place it in one of the two available drop boxes. There is one box in front of the office at 511 Locust Street and a drive-up box in the Brookshire's parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road.

The payment will be credited on the next business day. Please do not drop cash into these boxes.

Payments also may be made online at www.CityofTyler.org, over the phone by calling 903-531-1230, or at one of many businesses in Tyler. For a list of businesses that accept utility payments, please visit the city website.

For emergencies regarding your water and/or sewer service, please call 903-597-6541.
