The Gilmer Buckeyes football tradition is among the best in all East Texas. Lead by head coach Jeff Traylor, the Buckeyes have won two state championships already and will play for their third this Friday against Navasota at Cowboys Stadium. Kickoff is at 4pm. It's been a wild ride for Gilmer, they've found themselves trailing in most of their games this season but always seem to find a win to win and now they're playing for the biggest prize of them all, the Class 3A Division 2 State Championship.
