Third suspect in deadly Longview shooting arrested

(KYTX) - A third person has been arrested in connection to a shooting at Towne Oaks North Apartments in Longview on Monday.

Robert Acles, 20, of Longview is charged with aggravated robbery and remains in Gregg County Jail, according to a Friday morning press release.

Just before 10 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a shooting just occurred at the apartments at 2501 N. Eastman Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they were told that a white male entered the apartment.

The suspect assaulted one of the residents. That suspect, identified as Noah Wood, 17, of Longview, then entered the bedroom of the apartment and was shot by another resident at the location with a rifle. Wood was pronounced dead at the scene.

Longview Police Detectives have determined that aggravated robbery was the motive in this crime. Police have arrested two other men in connection with the aggravated robbery.

This case will be forwarded to the District Attorney's office for further review. The case remains under investigation at this time.
