Tyler Police Department:

UPDATE: (KYTX) - On December 24, 2012, at about 11:15 am, Tyler Police responded to a residential burglary alarm at 6808 Hollytree Circle.  Officers arrived at the scene and learned that a burglary had occurred at that location.

During this time, dispatch received a call from a citizen who gave a suspect vehicle description.  Another officer located that vehicle and attempted to stop the occupants.  They then threw stolen jewelry from vehicle.

The jewelry was recovered and the value has yet to be determined.  Unfortunately the suspects were able to get away on foot.  The only description we have at this time is three unknown black males.  Tyler Police investigators were called out to the scene to begin working on this case.

No one was injured during this offense and no weapons were observed.

This case is currently under investigation.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler Police Department responded to a report of 3 black males attempting to burglarize a home on Hollytree Circle.

Tyler Police Sgt. Riggle tells CBS19 that officers attempted to stop a car matching the description given in the crime, when the people inside bailed out and ran in a wooded area off of Grande Ave.

Officers inspected the abandoned vehicle and found possibly stolen jewelry from a different home in the area and information that could lead to the arrest of the three men, according to Sgt. Riggle.
