(KYTX) - The first baby born in Longview this New Year's Day was at Longview Regional Medical Center at 2:37 a.m., followed by a baby born at Good Shepherd Medical Center at 3:04 a.m.

Colby Ray Coston was born at 2:37 this morning to parents Corey and Ashley Coston, of Kilgore.

One Tyler mother rang in the New Year giving birth to a new bundle of joy.

Mick-ah Jordae Nelson was the first 2013 baby born in Tyler.

Mick-ah is 6 pounds 6 ounces, coming into this world at 12:45 this morning at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital.
