Tyler PD: 18 DWI arrests recorded during annual campaign

(KYTX) - The Tyler Police Department released driving while intoxicated statistics for Dec. 28 through Jan. 1.

The following is an after-action report from our most recent multi-agency No-Refusal DWI campaign:

Total DWI arrests for the No-Refusal initiative for all agencies were 18.

- DPS had 12 DWI arrests during the No-Refusal campaign.

- Tyler PD had 3 DWI arrests during the No-Refusal campaign.

- Smith County Sherriff's Office had 1 DWI arrest during the No-Refusal campaign.

- Lindale PD had 1 DWI arrest during the No-Refusal campaign.

- Whitehouse PD had 1 DWI arrest during the No-Refusal campaign.

Total number of search warrants for blood obtained was 2.

- DPS obtained 2 search warrants for blood.                       

This is a grand total of 18 DWI arrests with 2 (11%) search warrants for blood obtained.
