Emergency crews respond to 3-vehicle wreck on American Legion Road

Posted: Updated:

SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident that involved a FedEx van, a Constable Precinct 4 vehicle and a truck. It happened just after 9 this morning on American Legion Road and Northeast Loop 323.

We're told the Constable involved was deputy Bobby Sanders.

A Pestco truck hit the Constable's truck on the passenger side when Deputy Constable Sanders was attempting to turn left onto American Legion Road from the loop extension, according to DPS.

The impact of the collision pushed the constable's truck head on into a van waiting at the intersection of American Legion Road.

Deputy Constable Sanders suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The other people suffered non-life threatening injuries. Traffic is being detoured off of American Legion Road, but traffic on the Loop is good.
