Cotton Bowl fans camp out at Cowboys Stadium

ARLINGTON (CBS 11 NEWS) - In 24 hours, the Aggies and Sooners go head to head in Arlington for the annual Cotton Bowl Classic.

Devoted football fans have already started packing parking lots near Cowboys Stadium.

"We got a 54 inch flat screen TV," says Jonathan Hinze proudly. "Popcorn machine, margarita machine, fish fryer and gas grill."

Hinze and a group of his friends converted an old school bus to their playground for tailgating.

There's even a club inside called "Club Dracula," with a smoke machine and music.

"They got strobe lights. They got the stripper pole," says Aggie fan Jackie Foster. "I've never seen anything like it."

Hinze is from a small town near Corpus Christi.

He says his friends and the community have been working on the bus for more than a year.

The die hard Aggie fans have been following the team to every game and now can't wait for the big one Friday night.

"We are ready and we are pumped," says a very excited Hinze. "I think this is really our year!"

RV's started rolling into Lot 14 near the stadium as early as Wednesday.

Everywhere you look, school flags now show allegiances.

There's no shortage of flat screens, heaters, smokers and lots of food and drinks to get the party going.

"This is normal game day tailgate set-up," says Paula Mitchell a Sooner fan pointing out a little fire pit and heaters inside her tailgate "We've got a little living room here."

As family and friends start arriving these early birds are making sure everything is perfect for game day.

"The biggest part is you are out here with a bunch of other people that have the same passion and doing the same thing," says John German whose son goes to OU.

As the crowds keep coming in Arlington Police will have extra officers for security inside and outside the stadium.
