Best of the Upper East Side of Texas 2012 Winners Announced:

The annual Best of the Upper East Side of Texas highlights food, entertainment, enlightenment, attractions, and more as identified by County Line Magazine readers.

Here's a list of the winners and runners up, by location:

HALL OF FAME

Certain businesses and places in the Upper East Side of Texas consistently win buckets of votes for excellence, so County Line Magazine, to pay tribute to the best of the best, established a Hall of Fame. The criteria are simple: win the same category three times, and be recognized.

The two 2012 additions are Tyler State Park, which was named best camping spot in 2011, 2010, and 2008, and Crossroads Music Company in Winnsboro, which was named best live music venue in 2011, 2008, and 2007.

These two join the first class of 2011 inductees that show off some of the best of the Upper East Side of Texas, listed by location:

Canton: Best Hamburgers and Best Malt/Shake, Dairy Palace; Best RV Park, Mill Creek Ranch RV & Cottage Resort.

Edom: Best Pie and Best Waitstaff, The Shed Cafe.

Lake Fork: Best Fishing Hole; Best Golf Course, The Links at Land's End

Mineola: Best Nature Walk and Birdwatching, Mineola Nature Preserve.

Quitman: Best Small Theatre Company, Quitman Community Theatre.

Tyler: Best Radio DJ, Tom Perryman at KKUS The Ranch.

Wills Point: Best Restaurant, Four Winds Steakhouse.

Winnsboro: Best Chicken Fried Steaks, Double C Steakhouse; Best Pizza, Cibo Vino, and Best Small Town Downtown.
