Lindale sprucing up downtown

Posted: Updated:

Lindale, TX (KYTX) -- Big changes coming soon to Lindale. The city is taking steps to spruce up its downtown area.

"It'll take years to get it developed the way we really envision seeing it," Owen Scott, Lindale City Manager, said.

Scott says the city bought a huge building at North East St. and Commerce St. two years ago for a bargain, but now they want to put it to use.

"We don't' need to just own property if we're not going to do anything with it," Scott said.

The city of Lindale also wants to transform about 20 acres into a park, and a red brick building across from it into a Farmer's Market.

We got a sneak peek at the vision, click on the video for more details.
