In front of a full house at White Oak High School's E.B. Carrington Gymnasium , the 5th-ranked Tatum Eagles tried to fly higher than the 2nd-ranked and defending state champion Roughnecks. The Necks outlasted the Eagles leading for the final 28 minutes of the game.
Forward Hayden Nichols had a team-high 15 points and six rebounds. With their 59-54 victory, the Roughnecks improve to 4 and 0 in district play, just one step closer to another state championship run.
