UPDATE: Missing Smith Co. man found safe

UPDATE: SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - Smith County Sheriff's Office tells CBS 19 that John Purdue was found safe around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Sheriff deputies did not say where Purdue was found.

 


 

SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - The Smith County Sheriff's Office is taking a report at this time of an individual missing from the area of Highway 31 west and FM 2661 in southwestern Smith County.

John R. Purdue suffers from dementia and was last seen at noon Wednesday at his residence located off FM 2661 south of Highway 31.

Purdue should be driving a Pewter Metallic (dark grey) 2003 GMC Yukon displaying Texas License Plate number BW2B787.

The vehicle has possible damage to the gas tank door. Mr. Purdue is a white male, 79 years of age, blue eyes and grey hair. He was last seen wearing brown coveralls.
