Lindale ISD educator named Little Debbie Classroom Hero

Posted: Updated:

LINDALE (KYTX) - Lindale ISD kindergarten teacher Angela Coomer has been named a grand prize winner in the Little Debbie Classroom Hero Giveaway presented by Brookshire's.

Coomer won a $250 gift card to purchase supplies for her classroom and was awarded a certificate. She was nominated for the award by LISD employee and parent Renee Breaux. Little Debbie and Brookshire's created the giveaway to celebrate a best-in-class teacher, according to the contest website. Twelve nominated teachers received the $250 prize.

"I feel so honored to have even been considered," Coomer said. "I am very fortunate to have received an education at Lindale and I am very proud that I have been allowed to provide that experience for children of Lindale now.  I have not only received this blessing, but many over the past 19 years.  I am so grateful."
