UPDATE: Wreck near Canton kills man, sends woman to hospital

EAST TEXAS (KYTX) -
A man was killed and his wife flown to a Tyler hospital after a wreck about 11:30 a.m. Monday on State Highway 19. 
 
According to reports, a couple was traveling northbound on Hwy. 19 when their vehicle veered into another lane and hit a trailer carrying a mobile home.
 
Officials are unsure what caused the driver to veer. The man, of San Antonio, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to a Tyler hospital but was coherent, witnesses said.
 
The driver of the vehicle with the mobile home was not injured. Names of those involved have not been released.
 
The highway remained closed at 3 p.m. Monday, and official said they were unsure how long it would take for it to be reopened.
