Posted: Updated:

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - At or around 4:51 a.m. fire crews responded to 1603 Fowler Dr. for a fire involving a single family residence. Heavy fire was coming out of the back bedroom windows and was in the attic on the arrival of the first engine. The three occupants were not home at the time of the fire. The Red Cross was contacted and provided assistance.

The fire that originated in the bedroom was un-intentional, and the cause remains undetermined. One firefighter was taken for medical evaluation for a knee injury.

Fire officials say, the fire involving the laundry room at 717 South Green that occurred Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 8:38 p.m. was intentionally set. The arson investigation is ongoing and we are currently working the case in conjunction with the Longview Police Department who are also working the shooting and stabbing that occurred at the complex. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
