At approximately 8 a.m. Jan. 16, a deputy constable from Precinct 4 responded to a welfare concern call in the 100 block of W. 12th Street, in Kemp. The caller told 911 operators that a vehicle was parked outside the residence and had been running for quite some time.

The caller also stated that a male suspect was inside the running vehicle and that he appeared to be sleeping. As the deputy constable approached the vehicle he was able to wake the driver up and noticed pills lying on the center console of the vehicle. After making sure that the suspect was not having any medical issues, the deputy obtained permission to search the vehicle and found a pill bottle containing several more white pills inside the center console with no prescription identification.

The deputy constable also found in the console of the vehicle was what appeared to be a small amount of counterfeit US currency.

Arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous drug and forgery of a government

National instrument/money/security was Carroll Wayne Corker, 29 of Kemp. Corker also had an outstanding warrant from Rockwall County Sheriff's Office as well.

Corker was transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where he remains.
