We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Officials at Good Shepherd Medical Center announced today they will now provide a Women's Health Physical Therapy Program through the outpatient Physical Therapy Department at Good Shepherd's Institute for Healthy Living. This powerful and natural rehabilitation service helps women of all ages heal and regain strength using specially designed exercises and stretches. The Women's Health Physical Therapy Program is the only one of its kind in East Texas.

Good Shepherd's Women's Health Physical Therapists evaluate and care for conditions that are not commonly treated at one's OB/GYN or general practitioner's office, but treatment is coordinated in close collaboration with each patient's physician. Women's Health Physical Therapy Program treats various matters involving: incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, prenatal and postpartum pain, pelvic pain and lymphedema.

Good Shepherd's Women's Health Physical Therapy Program has specially trained physical therapists who evaluate and treat patients to increase activity levels, decrease pain and promote health. Female therapists work with patients to discover the cause of their pain or decreased functional status. Once this is determined, an advanced trained therapist provides treatment options such as manual physical therapy techniques, stretches, strengthening exercises and a range of other approaches to give women back their quality of life.

"One-on-one treatment is designed to meet each woman's unique, individual needs. Treatment sessions accommodate each woman's needs with the highest level of care and privacy," said Heather Brooks, PT, Women's Health Coordinator at the Institute for Healthy Living. Heather has over 10 years of experience in physical therapy and received advanced certification in Women's Health Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University.
