There were plenty of boats, rvs, and much more for fathers like Rick Carlyle to browse through Sunday.

Carlyle and his family recently moved to East Texas from Alaska, and says this his first time to the expo.

"Came out to see what the convention center had to offer us. We are in the market for a new fifth wheel and of course to enjoy the other festivities" - Rick Carlyle, Customer

More than 150 boats, and over 100 RV's and travel trailers were on display this weekend at Maude Cobb Convention Center.

Missy Saunders of the Longview Chamber of Commerce says this expo has been a perfect fit for Longview and East Texans for over 30 years.

"We live in Texas lake country, people around here love to camp, fish, and hunt its just the area that we live in and this becomes a one stop shop for that" - Saunders

"Vendors like Dave Henry say it's the exposure to thousands of East Texans that makes this expo so special" - Kevin Boyce

"Coming to Longview helps us meet new people, and creates a hub to get us a fan base built" - Dave Henry, Priefert Manufacturing

For potential customers like Rick Carlyle, he's glad to have discovered this event and is ready to drive all over the state of Texas with his family.

"We want to start our adventures here in Texas, and explore this great state. I would like to go down to Corpus Christi, Houston, and of course the AlamO gotta go see that." - Carlyle

The man was not hit, nor were postal customers or employees injured.More >>
