Former basketball standout arrested in Christmas Eve home burglary

Tyler Police Department:

TYLER (KYTX) - Investigators identified one of the suspects in the case of a residential burglary at 6808 Hollytree Circle on December 24, 2012 as Xavier Shaquele Roberson, 22-year-old of Houston, Texas. 

On December 31, 2012 Judge Jack Skeen, 241st District Court, issued a Burglary of Habitation for Xavier Shaquele Roberson.  On January 21, 2013 the Tyler Police Department was notified that Roberson was arrested by Officers with the Humble Texas Police Department.  On January 24, 2013 Investigators transported Roberson back from Humble to Tyler Texas.  Roberson is currently being held under a $300,000.00 bond set by Judge Jack Skeen.

Investigators still need your help in identifying the other two suspects in this case.  Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department or Crimestoppers.

Roberson is a former basketball player at Paris Junior College, TCU and the University of South Alabama. At TCU, Roberson made 26 appearances and seven starts during the 2009-10 season, according to the University of South Alabama's website.

He played for South Alabama during the 2011-12 season. Roberson attended Mississippi Elite Christian Academy and Lufkin High School. He graduated from Jack Yates High School in Houston, according to the website.
