Tyler Police investigate aggravated assault - KYTX CBS 19 Tyler Longview News Weather Sports

(FROM TYLER POLICE DEPARATMENT) - On 01-30-2013 at approximately 11:30pm, an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon was reported. The victim said that he got into a verbal altercation with the suspect in the 3600 block of Old Henderson Hwy, Tyler, Smith County, Texas. During the argument the suspect allegedly displayed a handgun, and then fled the scene. The victim pursued the suspect in a vehicle, eventually catching up to him near the area of McDonald and the E SE Loop.  It was at this time the victim reported one shot being fired by the suspect. The victim drove away at this time and contacted police. The victim was unharmed during the incident. This case is still under investigation.
