We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

KAUFMAN (CBSDFW.COM) – The manhunt continues for the men who murdered Kaufman County assistant district attorney Mark Hasse.

Investigators continued full operation through the weekend following up on tips and leads, hoping to find clues.

While they continued their search, friends and colleagues of Hasse mourned his death at a memorial service at Ervay Cedar Baptist Church in Dallas.

Hasse was shot multiple times Thursday morning as he walked to his job at the Kaufman County Courthouse. His attackers, described as two men wearing tactical gear, sped off in a gray or silver late model 4-door sedan and haven't been seen since. The brazen murder in broad daylight, yards from a courthouse, has caused concern for all prosecutors in North Texas.

"I was shocked. I think this was an attack on the whole system," said Brandon Birmingham, an assistant district attorney with Dallas County. "I think any one of us who has ever prosecuted somebody for a heinous crime has always feared what happened to Mr. Hasse."

Hasse was a well-respected prosecutor who took pride in getting justice for victims and at the memorial service, prayers were recited not only for him, but for all who protect the safety of communities.

"I didn't know him, but I knew his message," said Edna Pemberton, who attended the memorial. "Befoe he went to Kaufman, he made Dallas a safe city."

Dockets were cleared in the days following the murder and the Dallas County District Attorney's office has vowed to help.

Prosecutors from Dallas County plan to volunteer for the Kaufman County District Attorney's office to help with the case load.

"It's important for them to heal. It's important for them to know that they have support and we are going to provide that," Birmingham said.

Despite several witness interviews, investigators still have no clear picture of what the suspects in the murder looked like and are hoping a growing reward will entice people to come forward with clues and information.

The reward for information that leads to arrest and indictment is at more than $71,150.

If you have information that can help find the suspects call Kaufman County Crimestoppers.
