Entertainment News: Chris Brown in hot water over community service

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - Chris Brown is in hot water again with the Los Angeles District Attorney. The DA's office says the singer has not proven he served any of his court-ordered community service, stemming from a 2009 sentence for assaulting Rihanna. He'd been ordered to complete 180 days of community labor in Virginia. The DA has asked a judge not to accept his community service because his documentation was at best "sloppy" and at worst, "fraudulent."

(CNN) - Donald Trump wants to take Bill Maher to court. The real estate tycoon has filed a lawsuit, claiming Maher owes millions to charity. Last month on "The Tonight Show," Maher said he would donate $5 million dollars if Trump proved he wasn't descended from an orangutan. In the suit, Trump says he accepted the offer in writing, and provided the relevant documentation. On Twitter, Maher commented: "What? Really?"

(CNN) - Kristen Wiig is taking a shot at news anchoring, at least on the big screen. The "Saturday Night Live" alum and "Bridesmaids" star is joining the cast of "Anchorman 2." On Facebook, the movie's director and co-writer said he "couldn't be more excited" that Wiig is on board. She'll join returning stars Christina Applegate, Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Steve Carell. "Anchorman: The Legend Continues" opens in December.
