Rusk County family loses home in early morning fire

TURNERTOWN/RUSK COUNTY (KYTX) - A Rusk County family lost their home in a fire early this morning.

The fire happened at this home on Texas 64 in Turnertown at about 3:30 a.m.

Four people were in the house including a four-month-old baby, but no one was injured.

A woman who lives at the home just marked the one-year anniversary of  the deaths of her two sons in a car wreck near Price.

"She was kinda having to re-go through all that again, and then she loses everything she owns," family friend Shaleila Jordan said. "It's like, she done lost them a year ago, and now she's lost her home and everything in it."

Firefighters are still trying to figure out how the fire started.
