Corsicana PD in search of bank robber

CORSICANA (KYTX) - Corsicana Police Department seeks the public's help for any information about a bank robbery that happened over the weekend.

On Saturday, February 2, 2013, a black male entered the rear door on the east side of the Chase Bank in the 100 block of N. Beaton in Corsicana and presented a note to the teller demanding money.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect walked out the same door and fled in an unknown direction.

Police officers responded immediately but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as being around 30 to 45-years-old, about 6 foot tall, weighing approximately 150 to 170 pounds, with a goatee, wearing a dark colored Nike hooded sweatshirt, light blue sweat pants, and yellow work gloves.

Detective Ronni Phillips has been assigned the investigation and the FBI was informed of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact the Corsicana Police Department at 903-654-4902. Callers may receive up to $1,000 for credible information and may remain anonymous.
