LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than renewing your vows with the one you love. Especially when those vows were made more than 50 or 60 years ago. Today, couples at the Buckner Westminster Senior Living Community were given that chance to walk down the isle and renew their vows. They even gave us a little advice on years of successful marital bliss.

Twelve couples, all ready to say 'I do' again.
"He's just been my boyfriend for a LONG TIME."
The first time Howard and Billy Early said I do was in 1946. The couple says they have been blessed by their 67 years of marriage.
"Because we're still here, together and we love where we are."
But Pete & Bobbie Ellison says the road is not always easy. They've been married almost 70 years.
"It's not a one way street and it's a rough road, I don't mind admitting."
So...what's the secret?
 "Never go to bed mad."
"He's always let me have my way."
"If you're gonna work out your problems you sure have got to communicate."
Saying divorce is never an option that's why this Valentine's Day they're able to walk down the isle to renew their wedding vows nearly 70 years later.
"You know that's your friend for life."
"I've always loved him and as the years go I love him more and more every year."
One of the brides did a bouquet toss and guess who caught the bouquet. Really quick lets run over those tips for a successful marriage since it's valentine's day. Tip # 1 you can never go to bed mad. Tip #2 always have open communication. Tip #3 make sure you're best friends and of course guys the most important tip  the ladies are always right.
