UPDATE: "Suspicious device" filled with paper

UPDATE:

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A bomb squad called in from Bossier City has determined the suspicious device in Longview is not a threat.

Longview police tell CBS 19 News the device is a plastic container filled with paper. Investigators are not sure where how the object ended up in the back end of a truck this afternoon.

No one was injured.

Albertson's will reopen this evening to customers.

EARLIER STORY:

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Longview police are investigating a suspicious device in the Albertson's parking lot on Loop 281 and McCann Road.

Officer Kristie Bryan tells CBS 19 News investigators have cleared the parking lot and are waiting for a bomb squad to arrive. No customers are being allowed into the store at this time.

The device was discovered in the bed of a truck.
