Gilmer man arrested for sexual assault of Longview store clerk - KYTX CBS 19 Tyler Longview News Weather Sports

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Police arrest a Gilmer man this weekend after a reported sexual assault Saturday morning at a South Longview convenience store.

Shawn Michael Willard, 28, is in the Gregg County Jail on $50,000 bond. According to court records, Longview investigators obtained evidence connecting him to the alleged sexual assault of a 26-year-old female store clerk in the 500 block of South Mobberly Avenue. Willard was arrested less than two hours later at a barber's college less than two miles away.

Kilgore police say they are looking into whether Willard might be connected to a reported aggravated assault at a store on Texas 42 North in Kilgore in January, in which a female store clerk was attacked and nearly sexual assaulted.
