BECKVILLE/PANOLA COUNTY (KYTX) - The National Weather Service in Shreveport has confirmed that three tornadoes crossed through two East Texas counties Monday.

And officials at the weather service indicated that there may be more confirmed.

Tornadoes were confirmed 7 miles southeast of Kilgore; 9 miles east/southeast of Kilgore and 4 miles north/northeast of Beckville.

According to NWS meteorologist Brandi Richardson, the storm went through the Kilgore and Beckville areas.

"We didn't find a whole lot of damage," Richardson said, "but there is no doubt that it was a tornado."

Richardson says she found no structural damage, just downed trees and tree limbs.

The weather service says Panola County law enforcement reported downed telephone and electric utility lines about five miles north of Beckville. Hail up to three-quarters inch in diameter was reported between Henderson and Kilgore in Rusk County Monday.
