Web Exclusive: 14.6 million people getting cosmetic treatments in 2012

(CNN/CBS) - It seems more Americans are concerned about improving their faces than their bodies.  For the first time in six years, the number of people getting facial work is increasing. The American Society of plastic surgeons reports a record number of people had cosmetic treatments in 2012.  More than 14.6 million procedures were performed in the U.S.


A bizarre rescue of a two-year-old boy in East China was caught on tape.  Firefighters were called in to get the toddler out of his home's washing machine.  It took rescuers thirty minutes to take the machine apart so they could safely get the boy out.  The machine's basket was still around him.  Eventually they cut through the basket's plastic and broke the boy free with their hands.  

No time to eat breakfast?  Some companies hope you'll have time to drink it instead.  Cereal makers, Kellogg and General Mills are introducing breakfast drinks that they claim have the nutrition you need to start your day.  Experts say the companies are looking to cash in on convenient ways to eat on the go.

Conan O'Brien is taking his political jabs to Washington.  The late night talk show host will headline the annual White House correspondents dinner in April.  The president of the correspondents association hinted on twitter that Conan's sidekick, Andy Richter, may also have a role at the dinner.  The event is customarily attended by the President and First Lady, along with Washington media and Hollywood celebrities.

Bruno Mars has revealed the stops in his upcoming world tour. "The Moonshine Jungle Tour" kicks off June 22nd in Washington D.C.  The Grammy winner will visit 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada.  The international leg of his tour includes stops in the U.K, France and Germany. Tickets go on sale beginning March 1st.
