UPDATE: (KYTX) - The owner of M & M Beauty Supply and Music store says she's still processing the loss of her family business in a fire Thursday morning.

Jeanette Moore tells CBS19 her mom opened the store about 40 years ago, and it's been a staple in North Tyler.

"We thankfully have other jobs, but this has been around for a long time. A lot of people have come here for years," Moore said.

Tyler firefighters fought a blaze Thursday at M & M Beauty Supply & Music Store, 1114 W. Bow St.

The initial call was received at 11:06 a.m.   Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the scene.  Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke conditions in the commercial structure. The Tyler Fire Marshal's office  considers it a total loss, and says a neighboring tenant also suffered smoke damage.

The Tyler Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.  No one was inside at the time.

Moore says investigators told her the heating/AC unit in the back of the store may be to blame, but the cause is still under investigation.

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler Firefighters are on the scene of a two alarm fire in the 1100 block of West Bow Street in north Tyler.

Emergency crews responded to the fire around 11 a.m.

KYTX CBS 19 has a crew en route and will bring more information as it becomes available.
