(KCEN) -- If you fly in and out of Waco, you need to know about this.
Due to budget cuts, the Federal Aviation Administration could close dozens of air traffic control facilities.
And two of them are in Waco.
Waco Regional and TSTC could both be affected.
It's still really early in the planning so saying how its going to affect the airports exactly is hard to say.
They could cut control hours, they could eliminate certain shifts or limit flying space.
The FAA is needing to cut about six million dollars to prepare for possible budget cuts.
This could limit or end training programs like the ones provided at TSTC.
It could also require the majority of FAA employees, which is about 47,000, to be furloughed to one day per pay period until September.
Flyer Carolyn Meyer said, "I think the ease of coming in and out of Waco is wonderful for people who work at Baylor. All the people who fly in and out so I love to come to this Waco airport and know I've got a flight to Dallas and know I can get to where I need to go."
Another flyer, Rodney Smiley, said, "The prices of airlines are going to be going up and it's going to hurt the economy and the economy ain't very well this time of the year. So I think it's going to hurt more than it's going to hurt."
The process to figure out how exactly these cuts will be made will begin the 1 of March.
