Web Exclusive: Yahoo's working from home policy may end

Posted: Updated:

(CBS/CNN) - Surprise move by Yahoo. It's ordering everyone back to the office.  According to a memo leaked from the company's HR department, Yahoo will end its work at home policy in June.  The memo reportedly says working face to face fosters more creativity.  Critics say the policy change will hurt workers who care for children or aging parents.

The next generation in smartphones is just weeks away.  Samsung will unveil the Galaxy 4 on March 14th in New York.  Details on the new phone's features are scarce, but analysts expect that it will have a higher-resolution screen.  Tech experts don't suspect the new Galaxy will slay the iPhone, but in the third quarter of last year, the Galaxy S3 became the first smartphone to outsell the iPhone.

Federal safety regulators are deciding whether to investigate a complaint about steering failure on the Toyota Prius.  Government documents say an automotive laboratory in Virginia asked for the investigation after evaluating a client's car and concluding that the steering column linkage was not assembled correctly.  An investigation could affect about half a million of the gas electric hybrids from the 2004 through 2009 model years.

Forget the coffee shop, your car could be your next favorite wi-fi hot spot.  General Motors and AT&T are teaming up to add 4G wireless service to several vehicles in the U.S. and Canada. Starting next year, the system will be available on 2015 model Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars and trucks. Parents might like this-- GM says the feature will allow you to ditch the DVDs and stream video to the back seat.  It will also boost GM's Onstar navigation system, allowing real-time traffic updates.  No word on how much the service will cost.
