Manning Pleads Guilty to Leaking Government Documents to Wikileaks

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- An army private pleads guilty to leaking classified government secrets.

Army PFC Bradley Manning pleaded guilty to 10 of the 22 charges against him.

But, he did not admit to the most serious charge of aiding the enemy, which carries a life sentence.

The Army intelligence analyst is accused of stealing thousands of classified documents while serving in Iraq.

That material was then published online by Wikileaks.

Manning's court-martial is scheduled to begin in June.

If convicted he could get up to a life sentence in prison.
