excellent example of three organizations working together to provide a safer
more efficient transportation system for all citizens.
Route

this service will be a flag stop system costing $1.25 per trip. Gladewater will
have three designated stops located at the City of Gladewater Housing Authority,
Lee Library, and Brookshire's.
According
to Longview Transit General Manager Scott Lewis, "We welcome our customers and
colleagues to celebrate this event with us by participating in these activities.
Over the past ten years, Longview Transit has continued to grow in ridership,
and we are looking forward to the continued improvement of services over the
next ten years."
Longview
Transit officially began providing transportation to the citizens of Longview on
March 17, 2003. Recognizing a need for transportation options in the community,
many concerned individuals and community leaders worked together to bring bus
transportation for the residents of Longview. Since that time there has been an
increase in ridership, an expansion of services, and improved technologies for
riders, and the installation of additional bus shelters.
