BOSSIER (KYTX) - Shreveport man has been arrested for stealing nearly $20,000 worth of tires from a south Bossier trucking company.

Bossier Sheriff's detectives determined that Larry Blalock, 46, of the 3900 block of Huston Street in Shreveport, stole 20 large tires and rims used on 18-wheelers from Steve Kent Trucking on Sligo Road in early February. Investigators discovered that Blalock, who worked for a tire company in Shreveport, came to the trucking company where he would change out tires from various trailers at the company. He would then lay aside the tires and later return to steal the large tires, worth about $18,000.

Detectives charged Blalock with theft on Feb. 25 and transported him to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility.
