Numerous 911 calls were received reporting the sounds of gunshots. Police located several witnesses who stated a fight had occurred earlier on the Kilgore College Campus involving two students and the same two students had again fought in an alley way off of Houston Street.

During the fight, two unidentified individuals displayed handguns and randomly began firing them. The gunfire dispersed the crowd which had gathered for the fight.

KILGORE (KYTX) -- Kilgore College issued a Ranger Alert to students Monday night after Kilgore College officers reported shots fired on Houston Street, just a few blocks west of campus.  College spokesman Chris Craddock tells CBS19 the shots were fired around 8:25 p.m. and no one was injured or arrested.  The college issued the Ranger Alert shortly after that, advising students to stay in their dorms for their own safety.

Craddock says police for the city of Kilgore responded to the home on Houston Street where the shots were reportedly fired, but there's no word from Kilgore Police exactly what happened at that home.  They gave the all clear at 9:30 p.m.   CBS19 will have more information as this story develops.
