Angelina County Sheriff's Department:
ANGELINA COUNTY (KYTX) - On March 4, 2013, Lt. Maskunas received a tip from Diboll Police Department about a clandestine distillery at a residence owned by Bruce Love located at 1010 Woodland in Lufkin, Texas.
The tip stated Love had an operational clandestine distillery in his garage and also several jars of finished Moonshine were present.
Lt. Maskunas notified TABC Lt. Jeff Taylor about the tip. Lt. Taylor and TABC Agent Joey Davidson prepared a warrant for the residence.
On Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at approximately 10:30 a.m., the warrant was executed at the residence with a joint investigative team of TABC, ACSO and DPSCID.
The Clandestine Still and approximately 150 to 200 gallons of finished product was seized. Approximately 20 quart jars for consumption were seized from the garage and the home.
TABC, ACSO, Diboll PD, Lufkin PD, DPS CID and ATF all contributed to the successful eradication of this clandestine distillery.
