Kilgore police arrest 5 on drug charges

KILGORE (KYTX) - The NETX DEA Task Force and the Gregg County CODE unit conducted a joint operation which resulted in the arrest of five members of a local methamphetamine distribution ring.

Kilgore Police Department DEA Task Force Officer Daniel Morgan lead the investigation which resulted in the indictment of Paul Bryan Jones, 44, of Kilgore, and Carrie Hammer, 32, of Kilgore for the following charges: Conspiracy to possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.

On Thursday, DEA, CODE, Kilgore Police Department and the Gregg County Sheriff's Office arrested both Hammer and Jones at their residence on FM 1252, Kilgore.

In addition to the arrest agents seized meth, packaging material and drug paraphernalia from the home. Shelly Wiles of Longview, Rickey Velin of Mount Pleasant and Paul Knight of Kilgore were also arrested on drug charges.
