Web Exclusive: Facebook "likes" revealing; gun ammo in short supply

Posted: Updated:

(CNN/CBS) - Gun buyers are snapping up weapons, but are running into a big problem.  There's not enough ammo to go around.  Gun stores nationwide are experiencing a short supply of ammunition.  Even the big retailers are having a hard time keeping it in stock.  Since January, Walmart has been rationing ammo to three boxes per customer per day.  Store owners say gun purchases spiked around the presidential election and after the December Connecticut school shooting.  According to FBI data, seven of the 10 biggest weeks ever for background checks for guns have occurred in 2013.

The head of the Transportation Security Administration is not wavering on the decision to allow small knives on planes.  John Pistole is expected to defend his decision Thursday at a hearing of the house homeland security committee.  Pilots, flight attendants and some members of Congress have criticized the TSA's decision to allow small knives on flights.  The TSA says it brings the united states in line with international rules.

If you've been dying to get your hands on the new Blackberry, the wait is almost over.  AT&T will start taking orders for the newly redesigned 'Z10' today.  The touchscreen smartphone will be officially released on March 22nd and costs about 200 bucks with a 2 year contract.

What you "like" on Facebook be may be more revealing than you think.  That's according to a new study by the University of Cambridge, which looked at the Facebook profiles of more than 58,000 people.  The study found it's possible to predict potentially private traits just by analyzing Facebook likes.  Those traits include a person's political leanings, religion, intelligence, emotional stability and even if they abuse drugs or alcohol.
