Five Men Arrested in Relation to Gang Shooting That Left Waco Man Dead

(KCEN) -- Killeen police and the U.S. Marshal's Task Force have arrested five men in relation to a shooting that left 29-year-old Ricky Dewayne Brandon, of Waco, dead.

The men have been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.

On July 17, 2012 Brandon was shot and killed. He was found lying near the porch of a house located at 1404 East Avenue G.

Investigators determined the shooting was gang related and the five men arrested were related to the case.

On March 7, the U.S. Marshal's Task Force and Killeen police arrested 32-year-old Fred Lee Williams II in Waco, 30-year-old Larry Donnel Boswell Jr. in Temple, 31-year-old Kevin Lee Stafford in Lubbock and 26-year-old Daniel Lee Carruth in Killeen.

Today, the U.S. Marshal's Task Force arrested 25-year-old Stephon Mitchell Lewis in Benton Harbour, Michigan.

Stafford is being held in the McLennan County Jail. Boswell, Williams and Carruth are being held in the Bell County Jail on a $500,000 bond.  

Lewis is being held in the Berrien County Jail on $500,000 bond.

Further charges are expected.
