Entertainment News: Lil Wayne Resting After Seizure

LOS ANGELES (CNN) - Rapper Lil Wayne is said to be resting in a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a seizure. A friend who visited "Weezy" at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center says quote, "he's good." There had been reports the Grammy winner was near death, but a tweet in his name tried to dispel those rumors. Lil Wayne, whose given name is Dwayne Carter, is one of rap's most successful artists and has 109 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.


(CNN) - Madonna dressed the part to call attention to the boy scout ban -- now being reconsidered -- on gay members and leaders. At Saturday's GLAAD Awards, the material girl called on the organization to change its, quote, "stupid rules." In the past, boy scouts officials have said they appreciate everyone's right to express an opinion. Madonna presented the Vitorusso Award to CNN's Anderson Cooper, calling him a freedom fighter who stands up for the rights of others. Madonna also spoke out against homophobia, discrimination and bullying.


(CNN) - For the second straight weekend, movie-goers were off to see the wizard. "Oz the Great and Powerful" continued its blockbuster run, with another $42.2 million dollars in ticket sales. "The Call," a suspense thriller starring Halle Berry, took the number two spot in its first weekend in theaters, pulling in $17.1 million dollars. And "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" didn't make much box office magic in its debut weekend. The film, starring Steve Carell, came in third, grossing $10.3 million dollars.
