WinCo Foods Announces Grand Opening of New Pocatello, Idaho Store

BOISE, Idaho, March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WinCo Foods, LLC announced today that it will open its newest discount supermarket at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 24th. The almost 98,000 square foot Pocatello store is located at 1030 Yellowstone Avenue and replaces the company's much older 42,000 square foot store located on Pocatello Creek Road. The new store will employ approximately 210 individuals, 101 of whom transferred from the closed store joined by more than 100 new employee owners. 

WinCo Foods is an employee owned discount food chain known primarily for being the supermarket low price leader in each market where it operates. Store Manager, Melissa Luker, transfers to the new store with nearly 22 years of experience with the company and over 11 years serving customers in Pocatello. The entire management team is enthusiastic about opening a new WinCo Foods store in Pocatello. Ms. Luker indicated that the community has been waiting a very long time for a store like the new WinCo. She looks forward to working with all of the employees to provide a great customer experience for long time and new customers. The entire WinCo Foods team looks forward to serving the community with a large selection of grocery items and our low price approach to the market.

As customers enter the new store they'll see the traditional "Wall of Values" featuring special low pricing on a wide variety of popular items. Moving onto the main floor of the store, customers will appreciate the large fresh produce department; the seafood and meat, deli, and bakery service departments; and a large, unique bulk foods department. The bulk foods department displays over 700 items, including many natural food products, some organics, snacks, candies and more.
