Bus driver kicks special needs student for slapping her

Posted: Updated:

HILLSBOROUGH CO., FL (CNN) - A school bus driver in Florida is out of a job this morning after allegedly kicking a student off a bus.

This happened back in October. A camera above the bus driver's seat captured it all. The eight year old special needs student was trying to get off the bus. Police say the bus driver told her it was not her turn. That's when the student slapped the bus driver and pushed her.

Then police say what happened next is the bus driver kicked the girl down the bus stairs.

"It's horrendous, I mean to think that somebody who works with kids all the time does this, she should never work with kids again, ever," says one woman.

Police say the bus driver could be heard saying quote - "I'd buy a belt, if she were mine she would not hit adults ever again."

And that's not the end of this! Once the driver got back in the driver's seat she started eating and driving with one hand! Court records show the bus driver entered a not-guilty plea.
