Man arrested in Smith Co. for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

TYLER (KYTX) -- In the early morning hours of March 21, detectives, officers and deputies with the Smith County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshal Service, served an arrest warrant in the 23000 block of Pine Drive in Smith County for Brandon Kyle Smith.

Smith, 28, was arrested without incident on a Governor's Blue Warrant on a parole violation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was previously arrested on numerous other charges, including assault on a public servant, aggravated robbery, and possession of a controlled substance.

Three others were at the residence at the time of Smith's arrest. No charges are expected to be filed against them. 

The arrest was the result of a month-long investigation.
