City of Tyler children’s Easter Egg Hunt set for Thursday

TYLER (KYTX) - For a hopping good time, join in Tyler Parks and Recreation's 8th Annual Twilight Easter Egg Hunt Thursday, March 28, at Lindsay Park, 1255 Spur 344 West. The event kicks off at 6 p.m., starting with live entertainment by Boogie Butt Production and concluding with Easter Egg Hunts on the softball fields. 

Egg hunts are divided into four groups: special needs children at 7 p.m.; children ages 3-5 at 7:15 p.m.; ages 6-8 at 7:35 p.m.; and ages 9-10 at 7:55 p.m. Children will not hunt in the dark and parents are not allowed on the field during hunt time, except for the special needs group. Only one group at a time will hunt.

Children can enjoy the Easter Bunny, McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog, clowns, balloon sculptures, a bounce slide and much more. Concessions will be available. 

Sponsors include Walgreens, Smith County Sheriff's Office, Tyler Police Department, Tyler Municipal Court, East Texas Food Bank, Northeast Texas Public Health District, Smith County 911 District and Partners For Youth.
