Tyler Fire Department:

UPDATE: TYLER (KYTX) - The Tyler Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire this morning at a residence at 2802 Pollard Dr. The initial call was received at 9:45 a.m.  Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the scene. 

Firefighters reported heavy smoke conditions upon arrival and quickly worked to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Tyler Fire Marshal's Office.  At least one occupant was in the residence at the time of the fire. However, no injuries were reported.  Additional details will be released as they become available.

 

 


TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler Fire Department contained a house fire in south Tyler Tuesday morning.

 

The call came in around 10 a.m. on Dulse and Pollard Street.

According to Deputy Fire Marshal Jeff Tucker, the fire started in the kitchen of the home while the one occupant was in the shower.

The owner's puppy did not survive due to smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
